50MHz "wideband" channels accepted by IARU

I received the following from John G4SWX, RSGB VHF manager:
Just to let you know that the RSGB paper proposing two wide-bandwidth slots at 50MHz was overwhelmingly approved at the IARU R1 conference last week. They will appear in the 2021 RSGB band plan.
So it looks like we have a band plan for 50MHz with 2 channels for DATV use - RSGB submission with details attached - anyone fancy building an in-band repeater!?

Great news to have a 'formal allocation', time to finish my W6PQL HF (& 6m) amp, that should sort the ERP :-)

Perhaps a 1KW repeater at Alexandra Palace
