URGENT - Potential CEPT regulations removes 23cms

To our overseas members - RSGB is already on it.

Please make sure your national society is aware and fighting this CEPT mandate (NOT recommendation) to remove amateur access to 1258 - 1296 MHz.

Look at this link for the item below:

https://www.cept.org/ecc/tools-and-serv ... nsultation

Draft ECC Decision (25)01
Designation of the frequency bands used by the Global Navigation Satellite System, Galileo, and Technical and operational measures for the use of the frequency band 1258-1300 MHz by the amateur and amateur-satellite services in order to protect the radionavigation-satellite service (space-to-Earth)

IARU-R1 is somewhat reluctant to press further (in case we get an even worse mandatory EU Decision). Therefore national societies are urged to submit our own careful response where we ask that the technical parameters in its annex are used as guidance (as per the ITU-R original recommendation text) to allow for national situations etc .

The overall CEPT process has months to run, but the consultation deadline is very tight at April 11th
