How long does it actually take to deliver BATC Shop items to the EU?
I assume Covid-19 and the post-Brexit situation might have slow down the processes...
Any idea?

Sorry for long delay in replying.

We are not actually sure as we use airmail first class but not tracked as that would be more hassle for our volunteers at the time of posting.

I think the local issues in the UK are fixed but we have been told there will be additional delay due to customs processing - all EU parcels now need a custom label.

Having said that one recent parcel to Germany arrived in about 8 days.

It look like it is a bit delayed at the moment, which was foreseen and is acceptable. From first of July 2021 the procedure is more difficult due to the new customs regulations. The "low value limit" of Euro 22 for shipments into the EU will be dropped and for any import into the EU we have to pay the import tax. One of the reasons why aliexpress moving their offices from the UK to France and Italy.

My order from the 17th March is also still underway (and / or lost). My previous post about this is also either lost or awaits moderation. Not sure, was my first thread.
Currently 8 days to Germany does not seem to be a realistic estimate.

Hi Burak

I have just answered your previous post - within 3 hours 25 minutes. Is that not fast enough for a response from a volunteer organisation?

Orders to Europe are being affected by customs delays (imposed in Europe, not the UK,) so more than 12 working days may be the new normal. I would be interested to hear how long other European members' orders are taking to arrive.

Dave,

Order Date: 26 March
Post Office: 29 March
Delivered to a Belgium Address: 7 April

Not bad at all, just a few more days compared to last year.

It works both ways

I ordered a in stock transverter from KUHNE DB6NT, they dispatched next day via UPS ....it spent 2 weeks in Dortmund not moving ...then another week in transit ...so over 3 weeks ....used to be about 3 days .

KUHNE had correctly deducted German VAT as going to uk .

UPS delivered parcel with no charge for UK VAT ....great I thought ...got away without paying it .

No....3 weeks later VAT bill arrives from UPS collection department.

Hello Dave,

Order date: 27th March 2021, order status: Completed. No further news until today.

The shop does not indicate when the order has been processed (at least I haven't seen it) but if I remember correctly the status changed two or three days after I had ordered the parts. Still awaiting the arrival of the parcel.

I don't know how long it normally takes or how long it took before the UK left the EU but local deliveries in Germany take also more time now, probably due to the COVID situation.

Regards,

Ralf

Delivery to Belgium:
Orderdate 27th March 2021
Received 08th April 2021
Ordervalue 42.5 pound

Extra costs:
Bpost (belgian post) €24,-
Extra Tax €15,44
So had to pay an extra €39.44 euros to the postman.
(but was aware of that...)
