EU and rest of world orders

Post by g8gtz » Wed Dec 23, 2020 11:44 am

We have just been advised by the Post Office NOT to post any international orders as the PO is unable to process them due to delays caused by COVID and delays at Dover.

We will continue to accept orders but will not process them until after Christmas.

Even though we have a deal in place it still appears that all EU parcels from the BATC shop must now have a CN22 customs form on the envelope stating the value of goods enclosed.

Not only is this more work for our volunteers but it means that members should expect to pay additional duty and charges as decided by their own government - we have also been informed that this will cause an additional 2 -3 days processing delay.

Perhaps we should move the shop to Northern Ireland....

Happy New Year
