You may have seen the DATV express team are building another 25 units. We have previously stocked these to make it easy for UK / European members to buy the unit and in fact sold 11 units to date.

We are happy to buy another small quantity but would like some idea of possible interest from members before we go ahead and order more.

Hi Noel

I am seriously interested in purchasing a DATV express board
as a BATC member.Do you have any in stock to date or will I
have to wait until you replenish your stock.

Hi Paul,

Yours is the only interest so far and we haven't placed an order yet as the boards are only just available - will let you know when we do.

Hi Noel,

I'm up for a DATV Express board, also Nigel M1NAS, who went to the shop a while back to find last one sold.

So that's two more.

Just an update that, as it is only beneficial to members for us to stock the unit if we can buy in quantity and the current demand is for less than 5 units, we have decided not to buy any more stock for the BATC shop.

They are of course still available from http://datv-express.com/Purchase/ShowBoardInfo

Hi Noel

Sad to hear you won't be stocking any more DATV-Express boards
due to lack of interested buyers.Let's hope the demand rises above
five units as purchasing direct is prohibitive with added cost of UK import
duty.

I hope there is renewed interest in these excellent boards so that Santa
can deliver in time for Christmas. If there is a surge in demand in the future
and you do decide to restock. Will the four initial interested parties have a
board reserved or will it be first come first severed..?

Hi Paul,

Sorry to hear that the board is not going to be stocked as part of the Batc service.

Great piece of kit covers all bands you would need , mixer LO, and signal generator.

Have just ordered my second one from the DATV Express site at about £11.11p over Batc price.

Mmmm import duty......

So thats one less who was going to buy one, bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy?

Its not the import duty, you have to pay that - its the extremely high price the post office add for collecting it. Also, for some reason, US international shipping is very expensive. Even so, it doesn't make that much difference on a $300 board, and remember you are not paying the Ohio sales tax.

$300 is £200 at the moment. When I bought mine in May last year is was more like £180, so even if BATC did restock, its likely to cost more. Still incredible value though!

We should have a EU distribution centre ready by the new year.
So anyone that wants their board shipped from inside the EU
should hold off ordering until we have moved the stock.

We are currently a bit short of stock as we were not expecting
the bulk order of boards from a repeater group so initially
EU stock will be limited.

We would like to thank the BATC for the work they have done
in supporting our project.
