In order so we can judge if we need to be buying yet more bits can you please post in reply to this thread if you are interested in buying one.

Please note, posting here WILL NOT secure you a unit from the 25 this week but will give us an idea of what we need to do to satisfy demand.

USB tuner project kits in stock!!

Post by g8gtz » Thu Aug 13, 2015 9:17 am

The first 10 kits are now available for order - the remaining 15 will be available tomorrow.

Based on the expressions of interest there should be more than enough stock to go round but it would be good if those ordering their 2nd kit could hold off for a couple of days.

Thanks to Colin G4KLB for making up these 25 kits.

Digithin kits should be back in the shop in the next couple of days - once I clear the table to make them up :-)

USB tuner kits - 2nd batch will be available tomorrow

Post by g8gtz » Thu Aug 13, 2015 7:32 pm

The remaining 15 kits will be available in the shop tomorrow evening (Friday) at around 7pm.

I did release 10 earlier today to try and spread the opportunity to get one but I'm not sure how to make sure everyone gets one except to ask that people only order one kit and to hold off if you are looking to order a second one until everyone has had a chance to buy one.

Whether we stock any more will depend on demand and also finding volunteers who are willing to order and pay for the components and mark and bag up the kits - not an insignificant task. You will of course be reimbursed by BATC for the cost of the components but not your time!

Also we are running low on PCBs and there will be a delay of around 2 weeks before we receive any more.

Hello Jean,

'USB tuner project short kit' has all the parts and the PCB,
You will also need the NIM tuner module (called 'Eardatek 4 b47ff1b tuner module' )
and the FT2232H module (called ' USB for Tuner NIM')

There has been a problem adding the pictures so understand your confusion.

Hello Colin

Thanks for the reply. In doubt is what I ordered. Ouff!
I am reassured. It is true that the photos help much.

Hi Jean,

You did order the kit but you have not ordered the "USB module" or the "Tuner " which you will need - I have updated the shop descriptions:

You will need one of each item - I will hold your kit order if you want to now order a USB module and tuner.

Sorry for the confusion - and yes pictures would help but our s/w is broken :-(
