DTX 1

Post by G4DHO » Sat Jul 22, 2017 11:45 am

Good afternoon Laurence

The DTX 1 boots up normally and then the top button is pressed the middle LED comes on and the device is in transmit . As part of a considered upgrade to the GB3UD transmit line up this is a minor issue and can be overcome by external means.

However the existing exciter works in a similar fashion but automatically goes to transmit after boot up , this is a useful asset as in the case of a mains failure the transmitter comes strait on, just after power is restored. Therefore I wondered if a small change in the software can easily be introduced to get the DTX1 to go automatically to transmit after power restoration instead of having to make a bit of external circuitry to achieve just this action.

No rush for a reply kind regards Albert G4DHO

Well that's an easy one!

By the way, Antennair are on with another batch of DTX1's for BATC presently. So don't worry that the shop is showing low stock - more are on the way :)
