Ah OK

Well the current (Beta) addendum to the manual is here

http://www.dtx1.info/downloads/firmware ... nu_1_1.pdf

and the manual itself is here

http://dtx1.info/downloads/userguide.pdf see section 2.1.8 for details of the serial port.

We aim to put most such things on the DTX1 support site as per above ;)

Hi all

We now have a set of parameters for a 'Preset 3' setting, optimised for RBTV using the TS Dock / Raspberry Pi to feed the H.264 stream.

This will be incorporated into the latest firmware and is planned to be released next week now.

Hi all

Good news! The latest version of DTX1 Firmware is now released and available for download. Please read on . . .

Important! Firmware Version 01.00.05, 28th Jan 2016.

This version includes support for the TS DOCK PCB and features a new 'Preset 3' optimised for BATC RBTV.
When loaded, it will keep your existing presets, but NOT load up Preset 3 and other defaults automatically.
If you wish to add Preset 3 contents, you have to re-load ALL presets. This will trash your existing presets so if you
want to re-use them you need to make a note of them before defaulting the unit.

To default the unit, remove power and press the UP and DOWN menu buttons simultaneously whilst restoring power.
Keep them pressed until the unit boots.

If in doubt email support@dtx1.info

The firmware is available for free download here http://www.dtx1.info/downloads/firmware/ as is a README file containing the above information.

A new batch of DTX1's (loaded as above) and TS Dock PCB's are now being prepared for shipment to BATC. Thanks everyone for your patience.

Hi,
I have biult the ts dock but the dtx1 will not come up. It gets to the firmware screen then resets. Is there a circuit diagram so I can fault find? I have the latest firmware. When I first switched on the DTX1 I think it did a similar thing for a while! but then was OK. It works again once the TS Dock is removed.
Many thanks

Hi,
Yes you were right it would appear!!! I got the wrong capacitance zener diodes!!! They don't come up on the product searches straight away. On the RS site they came in batches of 250! Farnell was where I got the correct ones but then it means searching for 3.3volt zeners and then selecting the IN746A ones not just searching for IN746A's!!
Now onto checking with the Raspberry Pi etc.....

This may not be the case - wrong diodes - ! I think I have another problem with my DTX1. When first powered up, after a long time off, it takes a few minutes of coming up and resetting until it works continuosly. Just like a memory battery being flat on an old radio or computer. Once it has been on for a while it works flawlessly. Still not got the Raspberry Pi to work into it though!!
This fault was there the first time I used the DTX1 before any TS Dock board but I have not switched it off for too long lately.

Very strange!

Please check your power supply is a clean 12 Volts DC.

If OK, best to return the whole thing - the DTX1 is under warranty.

Email us with your findings for further advice and help.

I've been experimenting with the new BATC Wiki.

Try this link

https://wiki.batc.tv/DTX1_TS where you can find the schematic and latest firmware.

It's a start anyway!!
