In line with my article in the recent CQ-TV (Autumn 2025) promoting FM ATV to get more people into the ATV community, I published a video about a receiver I once built.

Hi Chris

Been looking at your you tube channel , some great videos on FM TV on 24cms and 6cms .

There must be 100s if not 1000s of items we used to use for FM TV in junk box’s , or thrown away ….wonder what happened to all that old kit

Still have FM gear here for 24cms and 6cms …..I’ve recently moved qth so haven’t set up my ATV station or antennas yet .

I will have an unobstructed sea path into Holland and Belgium ……not sure if there is much FM activity in Holland these days …??

Keep posting the videos

Regards

Thanks for your kind words, Steve. I'm glad to hear you appreciate my YouTube channel.

A lot of the older equipment will undoubtedly be offered for sale at rallies and such. Or better, perhaps given away to amateurs who can try their first ATV contact.

I think there's still plenty of analog ATV activity in the Netherlands, but I don't have exact figures.
Especially for QSOs, analog is better because there's no delay.

I've noticed that there are almost no contacts across the North Sea. Years ago there were groups of active stations who went to the coast to try contacts.
As is now done by narrowband stations at 10 GHz and higher.

Who knows what future brings?

Best regards,
