1st-Timer listening for a Repeater... Idents? Test Cards?

Hi All,
I'm listening out for my first repeater, GB3ET on 23cms (nearby I *think* as it says it's about 7 miles away)
A dumb question from a novice:-
Do ATV repeaters broadcast an 'ident', like voice repeaters?
I also heard some repeaters revert to beacon when not in use? (send a test card?)

Is there something common to all ATV repeaters you can listen for - if you don't have any way of keying them up, that is!

Best 73s!

According to this post on the forum the repeater is Transmitting 24/7 but hopefully someone nearby will confirm.

The signal maybe a single testcard, slideshow or even videos.
Some repeaters Transmit 24/7 and others similar to voice repeaters, but they often have a longer hang time when the activation signal disappears.
Try monitoring/calling on 144.750, there maybe someone nearby who can help.

Hi,
You can see what ET is transmitting by checking the stream.

Really helpful :P - I'll have a listen this weekend hopefully..
Coverage map is hopeful but If anyone knows whether it's getting into Banbury town areas, please do let me know.
