Hi Gareth,
I suspect most of my activity will be in the NB section, so some very narrow stuff there.
The thermal drift on the TXCO is pretty good considering its 27MHz ref for 9.75GHz, which will be fine as you say for DATV, and the rate of drift is very slow.
You cant see it on a waterfall , and it has a good phase noise spec. I need now to get the 27MHz GPS locked source, I have 100MHz GPS locked, so I'll try a DDS to produce the 27MHz, waiting for some 4MHz xtals to clock a PIC.to build that up.
Then get the MAX2870 PLL locked to 1195 MHz, build up the g4eml mixer, 435MHz to 2400MHz, and then the 7~8W SSPA (one MMIC.)
At the same time building the Winterhill RX. Then maybe produce some video.
Having a sorta mad building spree as I have a very rare ocular melanoma, which at the moment is not getting larger after being zapped with a laser every three months, should it grow, its proton beam therapy and the loss of useful sight in that eye, and the vision in my other eye is not good enough to work with SMD components, or drive.
Oh what fun it is to get old
73 Richard
