23cm Modules usable?
Still researching and finding my feet.
Years ago I bought a TX, an Rx, a controller and grid antenna from Giles G1MFG.... I see there has been discussion about folk unearthing them.
My question is are they worth me wiring up and trying 23cm ATV on them as my first step.
I bought them after Giles did a RadCom(?) article ... but we had a sudden move and I never did explore ATV until recent engagement with ATVers has activated the bug.
Meanwhile a picotuner is on the bench too.

Hi Graham
There is virtually no FM ATV activity on 23 cm now; digital (DVB-S2) is the primary mode as it gives better pictures with less power, and is remarkably easy to generate with a computer and an SDR.
So, I suggest that you press on with the PicoTuner and look in that direction.

Re: 23cm Modules usable?
There’s a couple of repeaters I think that still TX on FM ….and quite a few that still RX on FM as well as digital .
Have a look on the streamer and most repeaters list the inputs they will receive on .
I see from QRZ that you may be in range of GB3HV when it comes back on ….it lists a 23cms FM input as well as Digital …..
There must be loads of these FM boards kicking around in draws , junk box’s , ….i used to like searching in the noise on the screen for weak signals …….but guess I’m a old dinosaur.

Re: 23cm Modules usable?
Hello Graham,
a lot of analog ATV is still done in Germany.
We use video quad splitters to display four frequencies simultaneously.
With DATV, there's a delay that doesn't occur with analog.

I always have crazy ideas.
Please don't be surprised.
