Something Very Nice Indeed.

Hello to the BATV Group,

I have something of interest that I wish to either sell or trade..

What I have is a bespoke, TX / Power Amplifier and Power Supply.
Fixed working frequency of 471.250MHz

Professionally custom made, substantial qualiy. All modular units in excellent condition.

I believe them to be in full working order, however these units have been in storage in my loft for about 4 years carefully boxed, saying that the AC power lead seems to be missing up there ? I did rig up a temporary power lead, applied AC to the input and all the units lit up, pressing the Boost SW on the amplifier does indeed switch in and out the leds that indicate the amp is on and the Ammeter needle deflects slightly, so all looks to be working just fine as far as I can tell and remember.

Not to sure on the correct type of power connector through, looks like a military type, failing that, fitting something else from any good electronics supply store will easily sort that out, so that's not really an issue.

These have come from a de-commissioned and redundant company a number of years ago and was tested working on the bench just fine from what I can remember, so I don't really suspect any problems but unfortunately I can't 100% guarantee that due to not having any cameras to test them.

Sorry, I don't know the power output of the amplifier either..

Hammerite finish dark battleship grey, looks and is very nice, very clean and looks great in the shack. This in not homebrew chaps, this is quality kit that was probably quite expensive, specially designed for a specific task, luckily for me having an amateur licence it was offered to me as first refusal. Unfortunately I didn't develop an interest so it just got forgotten about till recently.

Since I don't have any interest in ATV I thought about doing some sort of possible trade ? If somebody fancies it.

Cash offer is always good. CONSIDER ANY REASONABLE OFFER - TRY ME.

I 'me located in Cheshire and and would gladly bring the units to your home for testing if you live a reasonable distance from Chester.

Photographs have been taken to show the items. There seems to be some flash exposure error on the Amp meter.
A picture tells a thousand words as the saying goes.

Hi Paul
This looks nice, it is probably an analogue FM video transmitter/amplifier.
I guess they would convert to 70cms.
The problem with analogue FM on 70cms is that it takes up most of the band.
The big interest in 70cms these days of for digital transmission that is typically only 2 MHz wide.

There is more interest in 70cm FM ATV in the USA and Australia where they have more space and less usage of the band.
I suggest you put it on Ebay.

I hope this helps.

Dave.
