70cms horizontal omni aerial

Post by g8gtz » Mon Dec 30, 2013 12:17 pm

Hi

As an alternative to the big wheel I wonder if anyone has seen and built one of these - http://www.k5rmg.com/Pages/Tech%20Artic ... 0QEX-1.pdf

Looks like a co-axial colinear with potentially more gain and could be of use at repeater sites on 437 MHz?

Looks interesting, a bit big for mobile use but nice for repeaters.

I've never managed to get a coax type co-linear to work before so this may be a challenge :-)

Looks very interesting for repeaters ...23cms & 70cm DATV . Might try building one when time permits (or if somebody else verifies "it's brilliant" 8-)
