Beware!

I think this link has been set up to help other ATV repeater builders who have problems so we can help each other on anything to do with repeaters
So let me start by saying I had experience with the Severnside ATV group over 20 years ago when we built GB3XG that was working up untill the site owner sold it then then lost the site.It was on 10,065MHz the same has the one I am trying to get going here GB3FY in Lancashire only to find the freq I selected was within a no-go area now of 10,000 to 10,125MHz so I have wasted 8 months building up gear for that freq....So that you do not fall into the same pit.
I have now requesed the other higher freq so we do not conflict with other users

A bit of background has appeared on the recently updated MoD website at https://www.gov.uk/sharing-defence-spectrum

To quote:

"MOD has begun preparing other bands for release below 5 GHz, as part of its own Spectrum Reform Programme, which will help government meet its target of releasing 500 MHz of spectrum below 5 GHz by 2020. In doing so, some existing users are being transferred to higher frequency bands, including 10–10.125 GHz. In the short term, until the preparatory work is complete, defence will be unable to share spectrum at 10 GHz as previously advertised."

It is thought unlikely this will have any impact on existing 3cms repeaters in that sub band but BATC/ETCC will check with Ofcom to confirm the situation.

In the meantime John has re-submitted the GB3FY application and it has been processed by ETCC and sent to Ofcom today for the top segment of 3cms (TX 10,240MHz & RX 10,425MHz) which does not appear to be affected by the above.
