PI6MEP JO32

Post by Pa3fbx » Thu Nov 04, 2021 3:41 pm

Hi,
Starting this post for the Usage of Pi6MEP.
This "old" analog repeater is recently moved to a new location and in the proces being upgraded with some digital I/O.

We now have still a 2352Mhz FM-ATV output but next to this also a 500Ks DVBS2 out on 2344MHz and a Internet output on twitch.tv/pi6mep.
We still have the analog input on 1252MHz FM-ATV and 10.200MHz FM-ATV but next to this als a 436 MHz DVBS2 333/500 and a 1265MHZ DVBS2 500/1000KS input. We designed a complete new dashboard via internet for user and administrator controll.

More inputs wil come soon as we are working on DVB-T on 70cm and 6cm dvbs receivers.
Main advantage so fare is the additional inputs on 70cm to assits the novice community amd the internet output making the usage of the repeater more open to a wider public. This increased the ATV activity 1000% in this region.

More info will come...

Congratulations with this new setup!
In 2015 we gave a presentation in Meppel to stimulate ATV activity. Likely our presentation has nothing to do with the new developments
If you like, you can view it back with the following link:

(and click on '>' for the next slide. Even a few movies are in it, they start if you click on them).

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Chris, I wan't very ham active in 2015 and missed your presentation in Meppel.
I re discoverd HAM in 2019 by starting with QO100 and in 2020 i got DATV ready.
Being over 20 years out off date, it was a steap learning curve but the qo100 and this BATC community made things mutch easier.
Pi6MEP nearly dead and the loss of the location soon would mean switching off completly. I got involved and together with the old group we managed to move it to a new location. Still working on improving the current setup will make it perfect this winter.

Love your presentation and will use parts of it in my next presentation on the pluto...

Best regards
Benno

Video with 'the old' PI6MEP in 1997:

At that time received by me in Amersfoort, home made receiver, 1.3 mtr dish with LPA.
Enjoy!
