Peter, VK3BFG, is organising his usual VK/US QSO party and has asked if we could repeat last year's QO100 section and get some VKs and US stations up on the satellite and some of us in the QO100 target area relayed over the rest of the world.

The details I have at the moment are:

Date = 30th August 2025
Time to start QO100 relaying = 09:00 UTC
SHORT overs in each direction

It would help with the relaying to Australia if QO100 users could use 333kS and 2/3 FEC.

I just did some tests with Peter, VK3BFG, and it would appear the technology is still working

Activity should start on QO100 by 09:00 UTC on Saturday the 30th of August. To comply with UK regulations I will be in QSO with another G operator and, depending on the level of activity, the plan is to relay the Melbourne DATV repeater up to QO100 in chunks of three overs and then three overs of QO100 will be relayed by the Melbourne repeater (and possibly other streams in America), Overs should be a MAXIMUM of 5 minutes duration please and, due to my slightly deaf reception, an FEC of 2/3 would be helpful. I'll be coordinating things on a video back-channel with Australia and keeping everyone up to date on the wideband chat in terms of who's next to transmit etc.

As G8KOE mentioned, this is a fun event and quite technically demanding for an old codger like me so the more QO100 operators who'd like to give it a whirl the better. On the day, just let me know on the chat if you'd like to join the party and I'll compile a list and running order. ALL WELCOME...
