Hi
Is anyone planning to be around on 70cms DATV this coming weekend 8/9th March

I could possibly lash up a 18 ele yagi , mast head pre amp and about 200w on 437mhz with 2m talk back ……not sure if there’s a zello channel that’s used ??

I'll probably be out /p on Saturday afternoon, 1:30pm until late.
Location: IO94LI

If it's not too windy I will be trying 2x 25el Yagi stacked on 70cm and around 150W RF.
My Rx will be hampered by Fylingdales as usual so 1-way likely.

I won't have room for 23cm if I have 2x 70cm Yagi's up but may have the dish on 13cm/6cm/3cm if there's any hope of some tropo... unlikely by the looks of it!
Talkback 144.750 and Zello, usually ATV South channel.

I'll check out my pump-up mast and see if it will do as intended...but if it works I can run from home. If not I could try a layby at JO01AG28BM which might work to you Steve and if it goes over the slight hill probably good for you too Rob (well better than from home...).

I hope to have a go from my home in IO90iv. Only 10m ASL and not a lot of power but I will try 70 & 23. Good luck everyone!

I hope to be around on Saturday afternoon from home (IO94EB). I have just completed my 70cm amplifier so will have 100W into a 21 element at 136M ASL with good RF visibility to the south and east. I will listen on 144.750 and Zello.

Well the WX is looking nice at least.....
I'll be on-air I hope by 12noon-1300, depends what goes well/doesn't'.
Checked my new rotator and mast support on the car this afternoon and now sorting out what to take. 70cms DATV only, not boxed up the 23cms QRO yet. Zello ATV south for talkback. I'm in range of GB3JV (probably regardless of where I beam!!) and a chance for GB3SQ too, dead in line with you Russ.

Great stuff, Gareth. I have not been able to receive GB3SQ. I think we are both quite low. I have just installed Zello and the ATV south group so I'll keep an eye on that. I shall start looking at 70 cms from noon Saturday.

Well I just spent the afternoon actually putting some antennas back in the sky so for the first time in 18 months and I now have my 70cms beam and also a vertical colinear on the mast :D

I've just got to resurrect the gear in the shack but will definitely have 437 rxr and maybe even transmit with either 20 watts or 150 watts...

What talkback are folk using - zello, 144.750, DMR, sempafore or even the BATC's very own https://dxspot.batc.org.uk/ ??

I have spent some of the afternoon putting up a 18 ele powerbeam for 70cms and a 6 ele vertical yagi for 144.750 FM
100w on 2m FM .

I’m just trying to resurrect the portsdown 4 and a in line amp to drive one of G7NTG 350w amp boards ….not sure how much out on DATV but probably about 100w to 150w ….now where did I put the Power supply .

Newly built RX …with pre amp on 70cms

Will be listing and calling on 2m FM and hopefully have DX spot running ….and possibly zello

Will be in out of shack Saturday afternoon and evening ….sunday maybe .

All a bit of a lash up ….will be a slow manual changeover from RX to TX .

Hope to work some of you

I can set up on 70cm here in Harwell if there is activity. Plenty of power but not good to the South.
