July Activity Weekend & VHF Field Day.

After having 'fun' in the June contest I thought it worth making the most of the summer (??) and coincidentally the RSGB VHF NFD coincides with the BATC Activity weekend. With a focus on 6,4 & 2m its a good chance to use the same sites as your local club - 6 & 4 only run one day each, so if we run in anti-phase, nobody should get upset. 2m may or may not be an issue (as were are ERP limited and 2.0MHz up @146.5MHz from their likely centre of operations) depending on the site and directions. As most of the stations will be atop hills it would be a good opportunity to take some microwave gear with too, which should not interfere with anyone. All without the pressure of contesting- for us

So, drag the gear out and lets start making plans. I'll be with the Surrey Contest group at IO91XG (Woldingham Surrey) with reasonable take-offs in most directions, excellent West round through to NE.

I'm interested but I'm working the Saturday so cant participate then but hope to be out on the Sunday with 4m and 6m
Be careful when operating same site, you'll likely just flatten either their 6 or 4m Rx's when transmitting!!
Unfortunately I cause way too much psu noise qrm on the bands from my van so i cant operate same site as field day up here.
Interested to see if there's going to be anyone else on...

Is there anyone going to be on 4m/6m on Sunday?
I've renewed my 4m NoV just in case
I'll go /p if there's a chance of some activity.
71MHz 10W to 6el LFA Yagi
51.7MHz 150W to 5el LFA Yagi

We (Harwell ARS) will be on SSB in the contest. No DATV but appreciate a QSO.

As my club will be on 4m on the Sunday until 3pm local, I don't think I'll join them up there due to mutual interference.. However, happy to stick the beam up (5ele LFA) on the pump-up and send the 'required ERP' from the home location. We might get lucky. I could drag out the 6m beam, but it's hellishly noisy here on 6m so maybe not worth the effort. I should be able to rouse Martin G4FKK and Justin G8YTZ too.

I'll be on 2m Tx & Rx and 4m receive only, monitoring 144.75 and GB3NY for calls.
23cm restricted to Rx only unless I can get the bad return loss fixed on the Tx feeder.

OK, Plan is now to put up the 2m beam on Saturday and then the 4m beam on Sunday, both from home JO01AI Bromley Kent.
Can but hope for some enhancement to help things along.
