The April Activity Weekend features 2m, 4m and 6m. 23cms will also be used as usual.
Hopefully the weather will be suitable for portable operations.

I hope to be out portable, not sure which day yet.
I will only have 2m and 23cm, unless someone local wants 4m or 6m?

I can only go out on the Saturday (weather dependant), but from a reasonable local spot. JO01AI35VE the Keston Windmill carpark. Might have my portable dish finished to try on QO-100 as /P too. Martlesham microwave round table on the Sunday......
Probably only with 2m and 5W+12dBd antenna on 23cms.

Well....that sort of went well, except that my #1 PD4 would not transmit (cause yet to be ascertained) and I left the #2 Pluto in the shack so I could not use the #2PD4 as a source. Fortunately only a 2 mile drive the the Keston Mill Car Park which once again was reasonably quiet.
Managed to RX martin G4FKK MER 6 with him running just 250mW, what a difference some height makes. Tried for others including Rob up north but no joy. New car (to me) mast support works as before but I need to make a new wider plywood rear parcel shelf as the floor is too low (which I knew).
Band Viewer once again proved an asset as did decent RF switching/steering arrangements.
There is always next month, pre-contest testing perhaps and Mills on the air when I might well operate from The Jill Windmill near Brighton.
