Christmas 2022 Repeater Contest and Activity Challenge

Post by G3GJA » Thu Dec 22, 2022 3:03 pm

The Christmas ATV competitions start at 0001hrs on Christmas Eve and run through to 2359 on Tuesday 2nd January 2023.

These competitions are an important opportunity to demonstrate our use of the frequencies allocated for ATV. With the impending changes to accommodate the Galileo positioning system on 23cms, this has never been more important.

On offer to the the repeater group that can muster the most points is a cheque for £100 and a BATC trophy.

The leader of the Activity challenge will receive a BATC trophy and the runner-up a framed BATC certificate.

Claim points for any unique repeater/callsign/band/QTH locator combination per day in the Repeater Contest. For the Challenge, on any day you may work the same station on different bands and claim points for each contact from any unique QTH Locator.

The full rules can be found in the Wiki here https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Christmas_2022 ... _Challenge

The claiming points is easy via the BATC website here: https://batc.org.uk/contests/xmas-ladder/ where you can also register. Registration gives you a unique password, sent to your email address, to log onto the scoring system.

Receive only entries are welcome; please follow the instructions at section 11 in the full rules on the Wiki and send your entry via email to contests@batc.tv

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year (and lots of contacts in the competitions!)
