5.6GHz ladder contest - now with a £50 first prize and more competition!

I posted this recently on the UKmicrowave reflector:
BATC has been running a ladder activity contest for 5.6GHz TV contacts this year but to be honest we have been underwhelmed with entries so far! https://batc.org.uk/contests/6cm-ladder/

So in the wider interests of amateur radio and to encourage any activity on the microwave bands we have decided to open up the BATC activity ladder for the final 3 months of the year to any QSO made on 5665MHz using wideband FM. This can be voice or video and whilst it is aimed at drone equipment, we don’t need to specify drone equipment as that is the only kit that covers the frequency. To be clear, it is just one ladder but you can use either TV or FM voice.

It is open to everyone, not just BATC members, but you will need to register before you can submit an entry - and apologies for the slightly quirky time entry system on the logging page.

Self-adjudication will apply so we trust people to be honest - it’s not a “real contest”, just something to encourage people to get out and on the air!

Not sure how many people will actually take part but just to spice things up a little we have decided to offer a £50 Amazon voucher to the winner and £25 to runner up plus a shiny trophy.

Best DX!

So come on ATVers, don't let us down - organise a few contacts locally and show everybody how much ATV activity there is!

Note DATV on 5.7GHz is still included, just not NB voice.
