how to operate 3 microwave bands out of a bedroom window!
Next task is to make the Portslang XV switch transverters automatically like my original Portslang (which was in the other room on 70cm duties) does
The only equipment issue i had was that whereas the Portsdown side of the PortslangXV always produced RF, the Langstone side sometimes would not, only cured by rebooting.

Well done both - an impressive day of operating - particularly from home!
Strikes me a woolie hat and a copy of your license are essential items to pack when out portable!

Re: Activity Weekend 9/10 April 2022
I've managed to get my ISP to reassign me a new IP so i can post on here again!
I've been approached by various officials when out portable but none have ever asked for a licence!
Saturday was good, was not feeling great but stopped out most of the day.
I was full of cold and coughing etc but still not Covid positive even after 5 days of it...hi
The new van did not fail me (yet anyway) but some more work to do on cable management inside.
Worked Dave G4EEV on 23cm 2-way and 70cm 1-way.
Worked Clive G3GJA/P on 70cm 2-way.
Tests with Noel, Dave and Gareth all failed miserably.
Usual repeaters were detected but GB3VL and GB3GG lower than normal so an indication that radio conditions were not so good.
Some snaps and photos below.
Here's a link to a time-lapse vide of the setup/takedown: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yrwobbwp4mkdx ... e.mp4?dl=0
Looking forward to next time although May activity might clash with weekend working.

Here's my 5.6FM TV/5.7DATV and 3.4GHz DATV setup. I really like the panel antennas, lots of gain, easy to mount, reasonably wide beam-width.
