Hi everyone, the IO9DATV team (IW9ARO, IT9FUR, IW9GUR, IT9GAJ, IT9GNJ, IT9SWH) had a big surprise when we got the the Renny PE1ASH signal on 6m.
We built our 6m / 70cm upconverter but we haven't received any important signals yet, just workbench tests. On the last day before the contest we built a BPF for 6m + LNA with PGA103+, connected in front of our upconverter. Surely the qso could be done even without adding this device.
Renny PE1ASH transmitted at 51.700MHz, 125ks, 2/5 FEC, we received with our Diamond HB9CV antenna at 4m from the ground, MER 12.3dB with D13 !!!

Excellent work, This is a big achievement for Es DATV!

I'm interested to try DATV on 6m so if any of the team are available for tests please let me know.
You guys are at a good Es distance from IO94.
I can Tx ~100w DVB-S2 to 5element yagi on 51.7.

Renny informed me that he did not even had the intention to use Es.
Hij pointed his home made 4 elements quad (30 mtr above street level) to a station at about 10 km's distance and switched the transmitter on.
Some later an email arrived from the IO9DATV team.
Now he is eager to make more Es contacts of course :D
