I use:-

1298.5, 2322.5, 3402.5, 5762.5 10370.5 47090.5 and 75978.5MHz all dictated by using a 146.5 MHz IF with my narrowband transverters. I dont use a 2m "inband" IF frequency as I have had breakthrough issues from local signals (such as last tuesday morning with Gareth)

on 6cm FMTV i use 5665MHz

on 24GHz where I have a 70cm IF I use 24049,0 as 24050.5 is effectively "out of band"

This year I will be operating up North, as I am on a weeks walking holiday the week after the contest in Ravenscar. After much consultation with Rob, the plan is:-

Garrowby, IO93OX on Saturday - 1pm to 6pm at the latest.
Wharram le Street, IO94PB on Sunday - 9am till at the latest 3pm

I will have 2GHz and above DATV and 6cm FMTV Talkback on 433.50FM, 144.650FM, zello and 07941541592

After the holiday finishes I will also be trying a 111km path with M0DTS/P in the afternoon of June 17 from Rosedale IO94MJ before returning south

On Saturday I will be monitoring 144.750MHz talkback from home QTH in Somerset IO81LE most of the day.
I have 437MHz TX and RX untested with another station.
1255MHz TX tested RX should be working but untested with another station.

Dave G8GKQ I will listening on talkback for you and will also put out some calls should be from about 1330

On Sunday morning will be monitoring 144.750MHz talkback

I hope to be QRV on 70cm and 23cm from IO74CO both afternoons.
Is there any set standard for DVB-S or DVB-T with SR and FEC?
Probably a good idea for me to try things out before I go.
I will have Zello and 07411443449

Hi Richard

Probably too far away from me unfortunately, but I would suggest:

436.5 MHz 333 Ks FEC 2/3 DVB-S2 H264

and

1255 MHz 333 Ks FEC 2/3 DVB-S2 H264

You may have to change the frequencies due to radars in your area.

The SR/FEC combinations are a compromise between weak signal performance (lower SR and FEC is better, as seen on QO-100) and the time it takes to get a valid picture in fading (higher SR and FEC is quicker). DVB-S2 is the most efficient mode; DVB-S is a few dB worse. All our tests with reduced bandwidth DVB-T so far have been very disappointing and I would not recommend it as a DX mode.

Hope that helps

Dave

Thanks for the info Dave - that removes some of the variables for me.
I’m starting from zero so any QSO would be a major achievement :)
Kit running nicely off 12v battery so almost ready to go.
Apologies for QO-100 net tonight - club BBQ in the rain beckons.

Hello
I intend to go to Magpie Hill above Clee Hill village IO82RJ on both Saturday and Sunday. I received G8GKQ fron Dorset, Arthur g4cpe and Steve M0SKM in Bedfordshire and had 2 way contacts with Graham G3VKV in Cheltenham from there last year. It's screened from NATS radar on Titterstone Clee Hill. This year I hope to make more transmissions and contact Noel.It sounds like he's a moving target. :D

I'll probably take everything I have built! So if you want to attempt 51.7 or 71MHz DVB-T or S2 do say. I may be twiddling my thumbs like last year and be glad of the activity. So I'm setting up for 146.5, 437, 1255 digital and 5.6GHz FM.
144.750 FM talkback or 2m SSB even. ATV South on Zello. 07951313547 for when things are going awry.
New member Andy G7CFC is joining me on Sunday.

All the best in the contest.
