Unfortunately my van has an electrical fault so I can't get out, a shame because I have all the portable kit for both bands. However I talked to Arthur G4CPE and he will be active on 4m Saturday, there's also a chance he will do 6m if a test goes well. Arthur has a good path to Walbury Hill.

If I transmit 4 and 6m on a rubber duck Arthur will receive me running Pluto barefoot, so that's his first contact sorted.

Now this weeks other 4 contests are out of the way, time to think about the weekend!

G4FRE/P will be active Saturday afternoon on 50 and 70MHz from Titterstone Clee IO82QJ. High 4m noise level from the radio station preclude the use of IO82LB nowadays

On 50MHz I will have 150W on 70MHz 20W.

Portsdown 2019+modified G4DDK Nacton 437/51 and 437/71MHz transverters

Antenna is a Innovantennas 4+4 ele which I bought in 2014! As others have discovered, it is not a "quickly buildable in the field" antenna, but it is easier to get into the air than two monoband 5 element yagis

I will have a vertical antenna for 2m fm talkback along with zello (ATV south) and 07941541592

I am confirming that I will be active from 1.00pm local time tomorrow, Saturday 19 September, from IO81QF, the Mendip Hills, Somerset. I will have 4m DATV only, about 20W to a 3 element beam. This site has a good take off in all directions. Talk back 144.750MHz FM horizontal, Zello ATV South or 073 78 348 455.

I will try to come on from home IO91IO with 6/4/2m. 6m might be a bit of a challenge but we will see!

I will be on from IO94JF.
4m: 6el - 10W
No 6m, just not enough time to get that sorted, not portable ready yet!
T/B Zello / 144.750 / Dxspot.

Some info on what I plan to use.

I have 6m TX via my MK1 Portsdown and 4m PA seems to work OK on 6m. At least to 5W or so. You might try that. The rub is my 4m pre-amp which has nice tight filtering doesn't work on 6m so please remind me if I can't receive you that I need to bypass it!

4m is currently using the Portsdown too so its DVB-S only. I have up to 10W but need to respect the EIRP limit.

6/4m is a dual band beam 5 elements on 4m and 4 elements on 6m

2m will be Portsdown Lime with 17 element Tonna. About 5W RF.

Receive with Minitioune or Portsdown

The 144.750 shares the 2m antenna so probably Zello talkback or 70cms.

Due to a major disaster yesterday (my wide band PA ceased to draw current) I will not have 146MHz.

I will however, due a request from Gareth, have 5.6 / 5.7GHz.....

Talk later Noel
