We are proposing the following:
July 11th/12th - All band activity weekend
August 8th - 9th - 146 and 437MHz contest - details TBA
Sept 12th - 13th - 50 and 70MHz contest - details TBA
Be interested in feedback to know if people are willing to support these dates or alternative proposals such as keep the contests to a single day - if so which day?

Other than adding 'any other activity' to the contest weekends its fine by me, although portable ops with both my 4 & 6 beam on the same mast might be tricky? One day 70, next day 50, bit like they do NFD these days?

I would support these proposals. As I was packing everything up last week for the contest, the thought occurred to me whether we should emulate VHF/UHF enthusiasts and try single or two band activity days. It will make preparation and operation much simpler. Lets give it a trial and see what people think. With the reduced number of bands, a one day contest might be enough to work everyone. However two days provides some weather insurance. I hope Wales is open by then and I can get back to the Blorenge. Bath Racecourse last weekend was a poor substitute.

Would anyone object if we moved the Low Band Contest to September 19th / 20th?
I'm told condx will be better then! Seriously it would suit my domestic plans better but if it causes problems for others we'll leave it on the 12th / 13th.
Suggest we leave it as a 2 day event which gives people more options when to go out depending on weather etc.

Ok by me, fortunately i'm off work both weekends
The last 10 years statistics will no doubt show poor weather and tropo on any atv weekend!!
Maybe we should analyse this, moon phase related?!

Excellent proposal.
There's no way I can setup all the kit for all the bands, two reasons health and space. Doesn't matter what I setup the other man has configured for something else. Please give this a try.

Is the 7th house your house Rob ?
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
