Just to confirm my plans:

Saturday - Whether Down near Petersfield IO90LX with good take off across the Solent Basin, out across to France and along the South Coast.

I will have all bands from 437MHz to 76GHz except 47GHz but I'm not planning on taking 146.5 MHz.

Sunday - Walbury Hill near Newbury IO91GI with good all round take off especially to the North, West and East.

Bands as Saturday if nothing blows up and will take 146MHz

Talkback will be 144.750, DXspot, Zello and mobile phone.

Weather forecast looks OK for both days - maybe the occasional shower....

Look forward to working you all...

Now my plans have firmed up, some more detail on this weekends g4fre/p operations

On saturday I will be at Walbury IO91GI from the start of the contest until late afternoon

On Sunday I will start at Cleeve common IO81XW at 0900(clock) I will then move on to Notgrove IO91AV and if time/weather permits move on to Hidcote IO92DB

Operation will be on all bands 432Mhz thro 24GHz. Note NO 6/4/2m DATV gear is being taken (no room!)

Frequency wise I amdriving my tropo transverters at 146.5MHZ so I will be on 1298.5, 2322.5, 3402.5, 5762.5 10370.5, 24050.5 is out of band (without permission) so I will use 24049MHz

Talkback will be Zello /KST/70cms FM.

Update on my Plans:

Saturday IO94DF - nr Masham, Good takeoff to North,East,South East. 1pm-7pm.
Sunday IO94JF - Sutton Bank, Very good takeoff to South but trees may block higher bands more to the west. 10am onwards.

QRV 146MHz - 24GHz both days.
Talkback mainly 144.750+/- but will be on Zello/dxspot, Mob: 07999796421.

Thunderstorms forecast all Saturday so it could be 'interesting' !
Sunday will depend on how long my batteries last, they are now 7 years old and not the 400+Ah they used to be, less than 200 now.
Will have to decide whether to go to a small generator or get some replacement batteries sometime this year i think!

Just to mention that there will be a UK-run 71 MHz and 146 MHz section to this contest. Please use the same logsheet as for all the other bands.

Update on my plans for the contest:

On Saturday I will be 10 miles SW of Salisbury (IO90AX) with all bands from 146 to 24 GHz, with both DATV and FM ATV available on 5.6/5.7 GHz.

On Sunday I will be 20 miles W of Salisbury (IO81UC) near Mere, with the same capability.

Both sites have good take-off to the North and West and resonable all-round performance. Talkback 144.75 MHz, Zello and Mobile phone.

Looking good here too now, gear tested for 4m, 2m, 13cm and 5.7 DATV. Most workable stations look to be to the West-ish (+/- 45 degrees) so subject to a site meeting on Saturday morning I should be good. SIte is shared with Paraglider training!
Woldingham in Surrey IO91XH. Talkback on 144.750 Vertical beam and also on 07905 927230 as I don't have a very 'automated' set-up yet, so rx to tx changeover is not a simple 'PTT'.

I can now confirm my proposed activity this weekend. I shall be at Bath Racecourse, just North of Bath, IO81TK, both days. I shall be on site Saturday by 11.00am, ready for the 1.00pm start. On Sunday, I hope to be there by 10.00am. I shall have 4m, 2m & 70cm. Linear amplifiers and upconverters have all been tested on the bench, so hopefully everything will work! I shall be monitoring 144.750MHz FM horizontal beam, Zello channel ATV South or 07378 348 455. Good luck everyone!
