BATC Net on QO-100
Re: BATC Net on QO-100
Another good net tonight with G7JTT, G4EML, G8GTZ, M0DTS, G4HIZ, HB9DUG, G0MJW, G0DQH, M0EYT, ZS1MM, G4KLB and myself.
Don't forget to claim your contact with each participant on the activity ladder - I've had a rethink on the policy - so that's 11 points each!
Same time, same place next week. Remember DVB-S2 QPSK 333kS, FEC 2/3, H264. No excuses about Windows updates!

Re: BATC Net on QO-100
I have no idea why I can't send H264 any more. Maybe I will try the H264/H265 encoder box next time.
Re: BATC Net on QO-100
And hopefully I'll have internet restored by then too so I can see the chat
Re: BATC Net on QO-100
Another good net tonight. Thanks to: G7JTT, G8GTZ, G0MJW, M0EYT, G4HIZ, G8VPG, G8KOE, M0DTS and SQ6QV. Ten stations including myself.
Please remember the net parameters 333KS FEC 2/3 H264. Makes it easier for everyone.
Best picture of the evening, below, from M0DTS (sorry about the caption - a LongMynd screengrab on the Portsdown A27).

Another good net tonight with G0DQH, G4HIZ, G0MJW, G7JTT, G8GTZ, G8VPG and myself. Picture of the evening has to be John G7JTT's panadapter that he has added to his Portsdown build.

Re: BATC Net on QO-100
Thats a very nice little add-on. And article for CQ-TV perhaps? Can/could it do band-scope for the DATV bands too?

Re: BATC Net on QO-100
Hi Gareth not really much for an article for CQTV as it's only a couple of lines rem'd out in the code to get it to work on the 7" . Although the touch screen works to fashion it's easier with a mouse. With an RTL dongle useable bandwidth is just under 3MHz and you can set the IF offset of needed (QO100 or transverter). It was originally designed as a panadapter by WQ4T and the code is on GitHub. I'll have to wait until I'm home to let you know the lines to rem out. But makes a nice addition to the shack whether to watch QO100 or as a panadapter for any rig with a IF out.

Another good net tonight on QO-100. G0MJW, G4HIZ, G0DQH, G8KOE, G7JTT, G8GTZ, M0DTS G8VPG and myself. Technically flawless until my camera fell over and disconnected its HDMI lead. Well done to everybody else.
Picture of the evening: G4HIZ's "indoor antenna" (actually testing 5.6 GHz gear before the contest).

Re: BATC Net on QO-100
As "Clap for Carers" is no longer a regular event, the BATC QO-100 net will now start at 8 pm on each Thursday. Please make your presence known on the wideband chat and I will call you in.
Please remember 10499.25 MHz, DVB-S2, 333 kS, FEC 2/3 H264 encoding. This makes it easier for all the receiving stations.
