Weather permitting, G3NWR will be in the Anchor, Shropshire area looking for sites for the IARU contest in June. Either day is possible depending on who else is out.

I worked Walbury Hill and Dunkery Beacon on 2m from this site 4 years ago, so it would be interesting to try it on other bands, if it hasn't grown back. Is anyone thinking of going to Dunkery this weekend or for the contest?

Not sure what bands we'll have yet: almost certainly 23cm digital and 6cm analogue and probably 3cm digital. Maybe 9cm too.

I don't want to put a spoiler on this but the weather forecast so far is appalling...

Both days is 50+mph winds and rain at low level, never mind hill tops.

If the weather proves different i'll be out portable IO94MJ with lower bands only 2/70/23, dishes in any wind are problematic!

It's not that bad where we're going, but the forecast has deteriorated since yesterday.

With the weather being so unstable, I think I'll call off this weekend. When would you be able to get out again?

Forecast grim even down south and as I'm not really properly ready (still got things to change in my mobile station lineup) I won't plan on getting soaked.....

Sorry, definitely not out this weekend, too dangerous with the strong winds.

Next opportunity for me is next Sunday 23rd, then after that it will be 21/22 March as i'm working weekends in between.

It may be the weekend to post videos on YouTube of your aerials/dishes being lashed by the weather (and hopefully surviving!) then putting the link here.. rather than standing on a hill.
Luckily I have some protection from the southwest.
www.falmouthweather.com is two weather stations on my roof and a camera looking east. The aerials are all looking NE towards GB3NQ and out of shot. I may get aerial cam working for this weekend!
Stay safe
I will be out taking videos of storm Dennis here in the SW
