This coming weekend is an ATV Activity Weekend and the weather forecast is (currently) good.

I plan to be active from a hilltop in Hampshire or Dorset on the Saturday (location and bands to suit other participants) but have committed to the BATC Stand at the McMichael Rally (Reading) on the Sunday.

Is anybody else planning to go out portable?

Peter M0SWN has been commissioned by the RSGB to create a series of promotional videos on Amateur Radio special interest groups. Prominent among those groups is, of course, amateur television.

To get started, Peter would like to film some ATV in action and asks whether anyone is going out portable within reasonable driving distance of Swansea on Saturday and would be prepared to be filmed. The Blorenge might be a possibility, and I would be prepared to travel to a suitable site for the other end of the link.

Likely spot is IO94MJ, most bands available.

Will be on from home on Sun 14th, bands:146, 23 and 3cm.

John G3JZF and I are planning an ATV contact on the Sunday morning. Lickey Hills country park (me) to Barr Beacon. As we're both beginners, the outcome is uncertain! 2m and 70cm DATV. I'm trying to get John's first TV QSO.
I'll take my 6cm FM ATV set with me just in case there's another operator in range. Reading Show? I have to be home before 2pm.

Due to a change in circumstances, I will not be going out portable on Saturday. But I will be demonsrating QO-100 DATV operation at the McMichael Rally (Reading) on Sunday.
