The forecasts are showing some fairly strong tropo over the weekend 17-18 November. Is anyone planning to be out portable?

I currently plan to be out portable Saturday afternoon from around lunchtime, this may change depending on conditions.
Usual spot IO94MJ.

Will have all bands 2m and up.

I'm hoping to be on from home over the weekend. I have 23cm, 70cm and 2m on the mast at the moment. Condx don't look too bad so hopefully work a few stations. QRA is IO80EK98

G6AUR & myself will out portable tomorrow, Saturday 16 November, from about 11.00am, at Penn Hill on the Mendips, IO81QF. I will have 4m, 2m & 5.6GHz. The tropo forecast looks very promising so it could be worthwhile coming on even if your location is not too good.

Hi

I will be out from about 1330 until 1600 on Saturday at Lane End near Winchester IO91JA.

Planning on taking 5.6 GHz and 146. Talkback 144.75.

I know that there is a reasonable path from there to Rob. It's not too bad to the W/SW either.

Conditions were up today (Saturday) as viewed from Winchester IO94JI , but not by much.

I spoke to Rob M0DTS/P on 144.75 at 374 km, but we did not succeed with FM TV on 5.6 GHz (Rob's only band today).

I received 146.5 MHz 333KS H265 pictures briefly from Shuan G8VPG/P at 101 km, but he could not see me (even after I had connected power on to my PA - sorry Shaun!)

I spoke to Malcom G0UHY in Devon 182 km away, but he was also weak. I could not raise M0SKM or G4CPE, although I had heard that they were active.

The weather and views were stunning - and at least I saw some pictures. A good afternoon!
