This morning with Myself G0HIK, Chris M0KPW and Geoff GI0GDP, managed to exchange P3 pictures both ways on 5.6g.

We were very pleased, as this was the first time out with Geoff as QSO partner. He was suffering due to strong wind conditions and I think he had to keep one hand on the dish, so thanks very much for the effort.
I had seen what appeared to be a temperature inversion while walking the dog on the beach at 10pm last night, so the plan was to try in the morning, but by time we were set up, just before 9 a.m. conditions had changed. A bank of cloud was in the distance so signals were being attenuated. I feel sure that much better results can be achieved under the right conditions in the future.

The first picture shows the bank of cloud rolling in from Geoff. Just as we left site the fells were starting to get covered.

In the 2nd picture is possible temperature inversion last night, although smoke from the Winter Hill fires may be making it look more extreme.
