Don't forget - this coming weekend is another excuse to spend some time in the shack or go out portable and test all that gear you've been building.

This is not just for the portable warriors who go out to the local hilltops (the weather forecast is dry but cold) but is an opportunity to get on the air from the shack and work a few locals, either using simplex or your local repeater.

A lot of people seem to be experimenting with 5.6 GHz and hopefully we will see several people out /p trying to work other groups - don't forget the current record is still 138Km and held by the South of England team

I might go out to IO94MJ on Saturday for a few hours but no local activity arranged at present.
Sunday currently forecasts snow so will be active from home but no signs of tropo

CANCEL that, will be around from home but only 2m/23cm.

I am planning to go out on Sunday with 24 GHz DATV initially to near Basingstoke for tests with G8GTZ/P, and then to Cheesefoot head near Winchester.

I will also have 146 DATV for use from Cheesefoot Head.

Assuming nobody is going out today due to the snow. I will be around from home monitoring 144.750

Yes, I'm afraid we wimped out - no snow here but 1 degree, heavy rain and windy was enough to make the indoor shack more appealing!

We will be out in a few days time to try 24GHz DATV and will take other bands so will post plans on here.
