Following many successful Activity Weekends over the Summer, some members have mentioned that they would like more frequent activity weekends during the Winter, so I have now scheduled one for each month throughout the year. Remember that you don’t need to go out portable – just warm up the shack and try to transmit or receive some ATV!

Frank M0AEU has pointed out that the October dates coincide with JOTA - if anyone fancies doing an ATV demo station with a local scout troop, let Frank know and he will put you in touch with the right people.

Hello all
I'll be at GB1HGS between Halesowen and Quinton, West Midlands Saturday 20th October 2018 for Jamboree on the Air in uniform as a radio scouter. IO82XK89 and 180 ASL. I'll take my DATV station which is good for 70cm Tx/Rx and 2m reception. Terrain is favourable to the south and south east. G3JZF [nearest DATV station] and Barr Beacon are blocked accord to G0MJW Path Profile. Probably regular 2m FM vertical will be in use at the scout station so call on 07951 three one three five four seven if interested in a trial contact and check it's possible.
