Easter weekend

Anyone else like me getting itchy feet and fancy an impromptu activity day on Saturday - weather looks OK....

If there's any interest, I'm happy to go out relatively local to me - might give Ridgeway near Didcot a try - good to most directions except perhaps the South.

Don't forget you can find a site local to you on the portable site map https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit? ... 996803&z=7 and it may even be listed on the wiki https://wiki.batc.tv/Directory_of_portable_sites

Arthur G4CPE, Ian G3KKD, Don G0WFT and Steve M0SKM will be active on 2m/70cm Saturday pm.

Plans are to test Don's new antenna system and for Ian to test some equipment. It will be great if others are around on the day.

One or two of us in the Yorks area hoping to get out and about, I'm still building stuff so I'll be out later rather than sooner (if it all goes to plan).

sadly it's the XYL's birthday and we're at her sister all day. A quick look on the wiki and no where near that I can slope off to for a few hours, which is a shame as she lives on the south downs a place called bury. I'll keep looking and report back if I find some where.

Yes but I don't think it is permanently manned.

Well I didn't hear anyone on 144.750 apart from Don G0WFT, Arthur G4CPE and Ian G3KKD.

Got some good pictures from Ian while he was in QSO with Arthur; the MER was 16 on 437 333Ks/s. When he switched to 2Ms/s the MER dropped to 8 but I still received solid copy. Ian is 62k from my QTH.

Ian making full use of the tripod mounted Digithin pictured in CQ-TV.

I didn't hear anyone either - assume the bad weather had something to do with that.
