It would be great if we could get as many "Portsdown" Transmitters on the air as possible. I plan to operate one of the prototype units from Portsdown Hill....
Please post here with details of your planned activity for the weekend.
Also planning to go out on Sunday to some hill top in the southern part of England - pretty vague as I've not thought it through yet but I will be out...

I will be around both days working 2m/70cm from my QTH in IO91RV - Houghton Regis - Beds.
Paths directly South are impossible under flat conditions due to local downs. Anywhere North/East/West is usually good especially NE out towards Lincolnshire.

There's a few useful tools on the wiki when planning a /p operation - https://wiki.batc.tv/Mapping_tools
Also we are trying to build a database of sites here https://wiki.batc.tv/Directory_of_portable_sites - and there's a Google map where it's easy to drop a pin on any sites you know of https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit? ... 437475&z=6
