Christmas week - potential activity

The tropo forecasts are good for Wednesday and Thursday, with Wednesday looking better. I can go out any day this week.

Likewise I am able to go out any day this week. However, Wednesday does look good for both tropo and weather.

Hi

I am tied up with family commitments on Tuesday and Wednesday until late afternoon - and not even near the shack :-( This mean I will try be on from home on Wednesday evening and able to get on out Thursday.

F5LEN seems now to be indicating Thursday may be as good as Wednesday and it probably going to change (slip away?) in the next 24 hours.

I have just checked today's Hepburn forecast and it is showing Wednesday & Thursday to be good days, as is F5LEN. Hepburn also shows Tuesday as fair. The weather seems settled for the whole week; dry, cold and not too windy. I am happy to wait until Thursday to give Noel the chance to work /portable stations. How are things with you Brian? May be we could leave the final decision until this time tomorrow, when the next Hepburn forecast is available?

I'm doing major work on the van interior so might not be ready for /p Thursday but will try my best.
If not i will be on from home, biased towards 23cm but will have 2m also.

conditions very poor at present so lets hope they pick up!

Shall we decide on Thursday? Propagation and weather seem OK and it looks like maximising the availability of operators. I will aim to be on site on the Mendips (IO81PH) with 2m RB-TV by midday.

Really big VHF lift at the moment, all sorts of beacons coming in from France and Spain here in IO83 - probably die down by tomorrow.
