ATV Activity Weekend 12/13 March 2016

Post by G8GKQ » Mon Feb 29, 2016 11:37 am

Hi All

The weekend of 12/13 March is the first of our ATV Activity Weekends in 2016. The times are from 1200 on Saturday to 1800 on Sunday, but feel free to operate outside those times as well. The aim is to encourage all on-air ATV activity, whether portable, DX or simply using your local repeater. Just get on the air and tell me about it!

Please use https://www.dxspot.tv/ to log your contacts, or just send me a list in an e-mail. I will compose a report for the next CQ-TV just so that we can publicise what's going on.

Please reply to this post if you plan to be active.

Have fun

G3NWR are hoping to be at Holme Moss near Huddersfield IO93BM on the Saturday, moving to IO93AN later on for a better western takeoff.

We will have ATV / DATV transmit on 23cm, ATV on 3cm (10mW horn) and ATV / DATV receive on 2m, 70cm, 23cm, 9cm, 3cm.

There's a possibility of some operation from North Wales on the Sunday.

Rob,

Can I twist your arm to bring 3cm tx/rx? We'll have a 10mW horn to try.

I'm hoping to be out this weekend, probably Saturday afternoon and Sunday all day from Walbury Hill - IO91GI.

Hope to be active on 146, 70cms and 23cms - but as usual I'm doing a last minute rebuild having gone to the dark side and bought a DATV Express (I'll do a separate post but the Windows software makes it very attractive to the none computer geeks amongst us!)

Talk back = .750 and www.dxspot.tv

Hope to work some new people this weekend!

Thanks Rob. There's a slight obstruction at the A170, but the rest of the path is clear.
