A prize of a £50 Amazon Voucher will be awarded to both the transmitting and receiving stations of the longest distance RB-TV contact made during the time period of the IARU International ATV Contest on 13/14 June. To be valid for entry in the prize competition, the following rules apply:
1. The transmission must take place in an allocated amateur band above 70 MHz and must be in accordance with the RSGB Bandplan.
2. Only contacts made using DVB-S or DVB-S2 transmission modes occupying bandwidths of less than 800 KHz will be valid.
3. Transmissions must not cause undue interference to other spectrum users.
4. A valid contact will include the transmission and successful reception of a 4 digit code sent by video only. A report on the transmission must be returned to the transmitting station by means of amateur radio.
5. The contact must take place after 1200 UTC on 13 Jun 2015 and before 1800 UTC on 14 June 2015.
6. The contact may be one-way or 2-way
7. At least one of the stations must be operating from the UK.
8. At least one of the stations must be a BATC member.
9. Entries must be submitted to mailto: contests@batc.org.uk using the special RB-TV spreadsheet http://www.batc.org.uk/contests/Sumerfu ... urcall.xls for 70 MHz and 146 MHz and on the IARU Contest Spreadsheet http://www.batc.org.uk/contests/ATV_con ... YYMMDD.xls for other bands. Please add RB-TV in the Comments column. Both spreadsheets are available for download from the BATC Website. Please log all RB-TV contacts on the spreadsheet and provide photos if possible – we need to publicize this activity.
10. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the BATC Committee will be final.
Please contact me if you have any pre-contest questions.
