QO100 demo station for Girl Guides event

Post by g8gtz » Mon Feb 03, 2025 12:10 pm

I've received this from the RSGB:
The RSGB has been approached by the Girl Guides to work with them in putting on an activity as part of the May-hem 2025. This is a regional Guide event with a considerable attendance, with groups of 10 to 20 girls taking party in a large series of events for 15 to 20 minutes and then moving on to another event.

This invitation follows on from the success of the ISS Guide event run at Brooklands last year. One of the activities that we thought would excite would be a satellite contact, and to that end we are looking for someone that can put on a QO-100 station at the event.

This would be on Saturday 10th May at Ardingly in Sussex.

My thoughts are that we would make sure that there was someone at the NRC QO-100 station to make sure that a QO-100 contact is always possible.

We were wondering if you or one of your contacts be able to help with this event by putting on the station the event in Ardingly?
Reply here if interested and I'll forward it.
