Directory of /p sites

Dave G8GKQ and I are thinking it would useful to have a directory of good /p sites on the wiki = https://wiki.batc.tv/Directory_of_portable_sites

We wanted to include a map so I set up a gmap = https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid= ... guZyvh02SU

However, the markers are not clickable or linkable to – so there’s limited interaction.

However, you can add descriptions / pictures to the markers and use the ruler to measure distance – so now I’m thinking it may be best to just use Gmaps....

Before I go adding to much data to either solution it would be useful to have others thoughts - is this a good idea, are there better ways to do it....

Good idea. A system that could link to heywhatsthat would show the takeoff well. The 8 character IDs seem to persist.
