Cyber Resolution

CQ-TV 222 has now gone out to cyber and paper subscribers. I have had an email from one cyber member to say the resolution was a little low and pin numbers on Mike Cox's article are not readable. We produce a low res copy 3.5Mb for the web, 7.5MB for cyber subscribers and 15 MB for the club DVD. I am thinking about mailing out the 15MB version next time. I assume everyone is broadband connected and will not have problems. It will require a little more bandwidth, but is within the current bandwith limits of our site package. Trevor Brown

Resolution seems OK to me...

I just took a look at the article mentioned, and using the 150% scale seemed to show the pin numbers OK here.

G'day blokes,
I just want two items of info on the issue 222 generator.
1 what is the value of R17 ?
2 What type of part is IC2 is it a standard crystal / resonator or if not, what is it really ?

Thanks for your answer to my rather frustrating question

Hi Rod,

Could you give me the page number(s) of the diagram(s) you are looking at?
I will see if the original is a better resolution.

Thanks,
Chris

G'day Chris,
I am not sure of the page, unfortunately.
My friend told me it was as follows.
CQ-TV Issue 222 May 2008
The article was titled,
AV Distribution with test generators. This was by GW6BWX.

I don't think the items were listed on the article, they must have been omitted in the article and no description was in the
body of the text associated with this article.

Thank you for your reply, and I hope you may know someone who knows someone. :-)

Kind regards,
Rodney Jackson

If you haven't found the descriptions yet Rod, the article and downloadable hi-res PDFs can be found on www.atv-projects.com .
The test pattern generator section which uses the components you queried is under the TCG Mk2 heading.
