As you may have noticed we had a sustained spam attack over the last few days. Chris has now deleted them and restored a bit of sanity.

If you look in Administration Control Panel, under Board Configuration, you can enable the Spambot Countermeasures.
This might help

As this site has a very low level of real user message posting wouldn't it be better to manually
moderate all messages for the time being?

That would certainly fix the problem. I wonder if the real users have been driven away by the spammers?

Some of my followers on Twitter have made complaints about the spam.
But if you added catchpas to the sending of messages they would complain
about that as well. What I don't like is the sheer quantity of the spam sometimes
because I can't easily tell which are the new real messages as they all go red!

I also subscribe to a couple of other DATV lists and those are pretty quiet too.
I guess it is just because there are so few of us :(
