Spam

We seem to have been infected by Spammers.

Since there's no option to report the messages, perhaps an administrator could check through the forums and delete the offending posts please?

Thanks

The offending user has been removed and banned and all their posts deleted.

Thanks,

Looks like they came back!

Now I've seen the upside down triangle icon I have reported a load of Spam messages in the forums. However, there are a load more that look to be from the same source, so I guess they should be obvious as you scroll down through the areas for each repeater.

I just wanted to bump this one up. We have been getting a bit of spam recently and I come here as often as I can to delete it, but if anyone finds any offensive/spam posts please report them by clicking on the symbol with an upside-down triangle containing a red exclamation mark.

Thanks.

As we have had a recent flush of spammers, I'm just bumping this up.

You may have noticed that there has been a sudden reduction in the number of registered users. We have deleted over 130 spammers from the "Members" list, so all that remain currently are genuine users.

If you do find any offensive or spam posts please use the "Report this post" button and I will deal with it as soon as possible.

A large amount of spam has accumulated over the last two months whilst I was abroad on holiday. It should have all been deleted now along with the offending users. If I have missed any please let me know and I'll deal with it.

Do you think it is worth activating the spambot in the Forum software to stop automated spammers registering.

It might be worth a try. I'll ask Chris if it can be done.

Actually there is a mechanism for reporting inappropriate posts:

There should be an upside down triangle against each post that you can click on to report something that shouldn't be there.
