Post by VK3CE » Fri Aug 05, 2011 11:50 am

Hi Guys,

I'm am currently building the digilite project and I am having difficulty sourcing a balun for it.

The UK distributor wants twenty five pound to send two to Australia.

If some one has a spare and would like to sell please contact me. I can pay via Palpay.

You can contact me at vk3ce@internode.on.net

May be you can try a LO drive with a single ended input without the balun?
This is described in the AD8346 data sheet.
(SR-systems uses the same AD8346 circuit at 1240 MHz with a single ended input LO drive)
I will try that when I'll receive my Digilite PCB.

The BATC Shop has now received its first delivery of the baluns so you can try the BATC Shop where they will be available individually. http://www.batc.org.uk/shop/kits.html
Local Oscillator boards and programmed PICs and of course the Digilite Project pcbs will all be in stock. Remembering that these items are intended to complement the CQTV articles when published, the huge interest has caught us out somewhat, we are torn between taking a longer delivery dates and keeping the prices low and rushing to get stock in early. Thanks to everyone who has expressed an interest and be assured we will have no trouble in supplying everyone with main items for the Project eventually. No-one will miss out.
