Digilite with a web cam (without any Hauppauge boxes)

Looking for a solution to integrate a Logitech C525 web cam with the digilite-zl without any additional Hauppauge boxes, I came across a software called AVS Video Recorder. AVS Video Recorder is able to record and save live video on disk and encode it in MPEG-2. I had a quick try at it and it is bluffing ! It works without a glitch with the C525 as well as with the no-name webcam on my ACER 13" screen laptop. This is a really good news for mobile operation.

I couldn't get mine to record at any data rate that digilite would transmit. Does using the C525 mean that the avs recorder offers more sampling rates?
