Mounting the BATC Digilite PCB

Post by pcossins » Wed Mar 07, 2012 6:10 am

There is enough room on three sides of the PCB for mounting holes to be drilled. The corner near the LO injection needs to be modified. Remove the first 100R input attenuator resistor (if you have already soldered it in ) and remove the pad from the topside of the PCB. Mount the 100R input attenuator resistor on the back of the PCB directly to the input socket facing away from the side. You will need to carefully remove the green insulation to allow contact for the ground end of the resistor. There are 4 through holes in the area so RF ground should be OK. There is now enough room for a mounting hole. Regards Peter
