A little more research and I have answered mine own question.
To just have the video player embedded, paste the following code in to the HTML web page - change the stream name as required.
<object width="550" height="400">
<param name="movie" value="somefilename.swf">
<embed src="
http://www.batc.tv/player/BATCPlayer.swf"
width="320" height="310"
quality="high"
allowFullScreen="true"
FlashVars="vol=1.0&video=gb3pv&islive=true&auto=true"
name="main"
align="middle"
allowScriptAccess="sameDomain"
pluginspage="
http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" />
</embed>
</object>

The code above does not seem to work if I change it to my callsign,
however I found that I have to change it to the hex code that adobe media encoder uses to connect to the server.
I am not sure if that is the correct way to do it but it appears to work

Hi Mark,
That's correct - previously the stream name was the call sign, but on more recent streams it is a (random?) hex code given out when you register for a stream.
Caught me out the other day as well

I've confirmed it is now a random string given out when you register to prevent others from hijacking your stream.

Help needed please
I am trying to stream to my website and have inserted the code as in the above posts, changed the callsign to the hex stream in Media Player but it doesn't appear to want to work.
I can stream to the BATC Member's stream without any problems, so that part of the process is OK, it's just getting the code correct to insert into a page on my website.
Any Ideas what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

Maybe somehow the object tag is upsetting it, just the embed section seems to work.
Try adjusting this, works fine here for a couple of members streams i tried with the char code.

Thanks Rob,
That seems to be the answer, all I've got to do now is get my AV to USB converter to work.

Hi, The old streamer, which apparently will be turned off shortly was easy to get showing on website page, as at this moment I have it still running on DDRC website, direct link to page, though the other 2 repeaters on same page have/or are migrating to new streamer so only GB3TZ and GB3TV are currently running though they are liable to interruption at times.
http://www.ddrcbootsale.org/g4ddc/streaming.htm
But I fear it will not be as easy with the new streamer/wordpress - have a look at the page source, it is horrendous, and large 120k, nothing there to get any info on to even try.
I have asked BATC if some easy code can be made available - but the answer was "Sorry, but this one is going to need some work to sort out, and may take some time.
We’ll look at it as soon as we can and get back to you."
So we will have to wait - and see.
