The viewer most likely needs VLC to be installed to work, is this the case?
At least that's how I've done it in some of my projects... the version of VLC (32 or 64bit) that is installed may have an effect too.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did think it may have been the 64 bit VLC version not being compatible, but I get the same with the 32 bit version. It works great on my old windows 7 box. Its a bit of a head scratcher.

Hi Noel
It works just fine on W10.
Is it supposed to also run on Ubuntu?

Having the same issue, won't run on Windows 10 64 bit. Waiting on new computer to come in and try the install on it. When I run the exe file either from the extraction folder or command line in that folder it just closes.

Could possibly be a firewall issue?
you might need an exception adding for VLC.exe
Just an idea. :)

Are you an administrator? Do you have any rogue software - e.g Norton, McAffe? Are you using a blocking ISP like BT Internet? Exactly where did you get the installation package? Hopefully from the official Videolan site. Does your OS block the running of downloaded files?

Standard virus protection, malwarebytes, checked firewall, isp is ATT but I hadn't thought about that could be the issue will dig into that one more. VLC, OBS all from proper web sites. Will know more when new computer arrives so I can test inside the network between two computers.
